Interior Design for Your Whole Home

Your designer visits the house and plans each room with you, from layout and furniture to window treatments and rugs. We do everything except architectural plans and renovations.

After you book, you meet one of our designers in a showroom or at your home.

Finished Interior Design Projects

Rooms and whole homes our designers have planned and furnished. Each project opens its own photo gallery.

The Family and Designers Behind Saybrook Home

Saybrook Home is family-owned, and President Keith Bolles runs the business today. Each showroom has its own designers, who get to know how you live and stay with you as a project grows from one room to the whole house.

Questions About Working With Saybrook Home

Short answers on design services, showrooms, lead times and buying online.

Yes. Our designers plan whole homes and single rooms with you, choosing the furniture, window treatments, rugs and accessories that suit each space. You can meet a designer at our Old Saybrook, Glastonbury or Cheshire showroom, and they also come to your home to plan in the rooms themselves.

Yes. A designer can visit your home to see the rooms, take measurements and plan with you in the space itself. If you'd rather start somewhere else, meet a designer at any of our three showrooms first and look at furniture, fabrics and rugs together.

Yes. Whole-home projects are the center of our design work. Your designer plans room by room, from the layout and furniture to window treatments, rugs and accessories, so the whole house comes together as one plan. We take on single rooms as well.

Yes. Each department helps with single purchases too. For window treatments, meet a designer in a showroom or at home, or email your measurements to sales@saybrookhome.com for an estimate. Furniture, rugs and home accessories are on the showroom floor to see in person.

We have three: 2 Main Street in Old Saybrook, 400 Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury and 1973 Highland Avenue in Cheshire. Every showroom keeps the same hours, Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Yes. Saybrook Home is based in Connecticut, and our designers take on homes up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Book a design appointment and tell us where the house is. We'll talk through how a project there would work, and you can still start at one of our showrooms.

No. We don't draw architectural plans, move walls or doorways, or redesign kitchens and relocate appliances. We handle just about everything else inside the home, including the design plan, furniture, window treatments, rugs and accessories, all the way through delivery and installation.

Not on this site. Saybrook Home sells through its three showrooms, where you can see, sit in and feel each piece before you buy, then order it with a designer's help. Book a design appointment or stop by a showroom to get started.

It depends on the maker and the piece. Custom upholstery currently takes about 8 to 12 weeks from order. Some items, like many of our hand-knotted rugs, are in stock at the showroom and ready to pick up, so you can take them home sooner.

Is there a fee for a design consultation?

[NEEDS INPUT: the true fee policy. The booking page says “complimentary design consultation”; the design FAQ says in-home consultations carry “a reasonable fee” that is “partially credited back to the client upon purchase.” Answer to be written once Keith confirms.]
